Welcome to Mommy & Me, the first step on Caterpillar College’s time-tested “cobblestone trail” from home to school. This special class helps both you and your child make the transition to preschool with confidence, character and poise. By the end of the year, your child will be ready to take the next step into our three-year-old classroom independently.

Our curriculum is serious fun! Through songs, stories, games, crafts, sensory activities and plenty of play, children develop the early skills they will need for future learning. They build vocabulary, coordination, fine-motor skills, social skills, independence and—most importantly—a love of learning.

 

Mommy & Me meets Fridays from 9:00–10:30 a.m. Each class includes circle time, hands-on activities, crafts, music, movement, stories and free play. Parent participation is an important part of the experience, giving you the opportunity to learn, play and grow alongside your child.

A few classroom guidelines:

• Please arrive with your child in a clean, dry diaper.

• Wear comfortable clothes that can get messy.

• Please silence cell phones during class.

• Parent participation is essential.

• Please allow the teacher to lead without interruptions.

• Most importantly, have fun!
